What's your role at Aquent?
I’m the Digital Marketing Coordinator for Aquent in Australia
What does your role involve, day-to-day?
My role day-to-day involves a range of marketing activities, this can vary, depending on the time of year and the range of projects we have going on at Aquent. My day’s activities can range from social media, to EDM’s with html coding, to events planning, and managing integrated campaigns.
What’s your favourite part of your role?
My favourite part of my role would be coming up with creative solutions and then implementing the initiatives whilst having a whole team involved. I enjoy learning, improving my skills and growing within my role and am always open to feedback and tips from others.
What gets you excited about your work?
I love the problem solving aspect of my work, whether a campaign isn't reaching the engagements or results that were expected, to seeing potential opportunities to develop and upscale ideas. I love looking at a project and thinking, what else can I do, and what will the final outcome look like?
Why do you love what you do?
I love that fact that no day is the same and it is a market that is always evolving. It allows me to be creative within a structured environment which suits my personality perfectly. Learning and developing skills is what keeps me motivated and self development is in fact highly encouraged at Aquent.
Describe Aquent’s team culture
Aquent’s culture is very refreshing and not like anything I've had in previous companies. We work in a very open, friendly and casual environment which helps massively to keep me motivated. Aquent offers complete trust in its employees which is not something that is always guaranteed when starting a new role.
I am proud to be a part of a team that is so supportive and welcoming, as work is like a second home, it’s nice to have a family at home as well as at work.
When you’re not at work, what do you love doing?
My top priority is to spend time with my family, friends and most importantly my lil pup Ziggy. I come from a very close knit family, who all decided to move across the world together as adults and start a new life — so I like to take advantage of having them close by.
I've also recently started a DJ-ing brand called The House of Lowkey — mixing house and tech music with a friend of mine. It’s letting me live my festival life during Covid restrictions and gives me time away from my phone and social media to focus on problem solving in a musical way.
I also love my painting and drawing. It's something that helps me keep my mind refreshed and allows me to take myself away from reality.
