I specialise in the recruitment of Marketing & Analytics professionals across the Sydney and Melbourne markets. Whether permanent, temporary or freelance, I serve to connect the best Talent with the best matched clients.
What types of roles do you recruit for?
Everything from traditional marketing to digital marketing specialists, content creators, brand strategists, as well as digital project managers who tie it all together.
Why do you love what you do?
I love people! The best part of my days are when I get to meet new Talent. Bonus points if we catch up for a coffee / drink when our work is through!
What industry experience/expertise are you looking for in Talent?
I look for Marketing and Analytics experience of all sorts, but most importantly I look for Talent who are passionate and motivated. Your CV will come in handy, but above all I look for confidence, motivation and ambition in any marketing or analytics role you’re seeking. These are the qualities of both a successful candidate and a great conversationalist!
What are your top 3 tips for Marketing or Analytics Talent looking for new job opportunities?
Content Specialists, Web Designers, and Writers — highlight your work! Be proud of it and show examples as an extension of your CV. Clients love readily available content, and your work will speak for itself if made available.
Make sure your portfolio is up-to-date, especially if relevant to the role you’re applying for!
Know your value. In this ever-demanding market environment, you name the game. If you’re unsure, check out the salary benchmarks in your industry with Aquent’s very own Salary Comparison Tool! It’s completely anonymous and gives you access to over 28,000 salaries entered by real people.
Describe an ideal client relationship?
I like my client relationships like I like my coffee. Consistent, efficient and high in value! In this world of Zoom calls and Google chats, what happened to face-to-face meetings? Let’s enjoy a cup of coffee together too.
What are your top 3 tips for hiring managers?
Know what you need and what you want. In today’s market, there are ever evolving demands from the marketplace, and as a hiring manager, you need to know what is important to you and what is not. Be flexible with what you can be and be firm about what you need to reach the best Talent you can get!
Less testing and more interviewing. Getting to know your applicants is worth more than any standardised test can measure. Short on the years of experience you’re looking for? Be open to the rising midweight Talent that are professional, adaptable and motivated— you may be surprised.
Cultivate Talent in-house. Hiring juniors is more important than ever. Developing prospective Talent and nurturing their skillset is the best long-term investment any organisation can make during these times of Talent shortages. Prepare for the quarter, but pipeline prospective Talent for the future too!
Outside of work, what do you love doing?
Outside of work you can find me at the courtside playing basketball, swimming or hanging out at my local café, Lou Lous! I’m an active person but you might equally find me reading Manga at home and/or intensely focused on a video game :D
