Job Description:

This role is responsible for ongoing development and implementation of our clients email automation platform, database and personalisation strategies, and associated activity across owned channels including the Consumer Websites and other digital channels.

Key Accountabilities

  • Lead the execution of automated user engagement activity across digital channels and platforms, including growing and managing the database, and performing day-to-day email automation activities such as set-up, scheduling and testing of recurring, triggered and dynamic campaigns.

  • Develop and implement the email and data automation program of activities across the organisation including contact growth and retention strategies, in close collaboration with the Destination Marketing, Major Events, MCB, Corporate Relations business units.

  • Support organisation-wide initiatives within the organisation to introduce and embed best practice for automation and personalisation activity via digital channels.

  • Support the development of a customer-centric email programs that improve customer engagement across digital channels, using research and analytical tools to drive continuous optimisation of the customer journey.

  • Responsible for maintaining the email contact database (and any related CRM functions) including analysis, quality assurance and reporting of results derived from email and automation activity including message engagement (open rates, clicks etc.), behaviour, conversion and deliverability.

  • Support the project management, procurement requirements and implementation of associated technology platforms and vendors to support a business-wide digital roadmap.

  • Support the User Experience Lead and marketing teams to develop personalisation tactics through online behaviour analysis and platform initiatives to optimise and improve conversion rates and supports general campaign effectiveness.

  • Work with business units to embed a test-and-learn approach to adopting new technologies and message channels such voice, SMS and chat.

  • Occupational Health and Safety (OH&S) is the responsibility of all team members across the organistion. Team members are expected to comply with all company policies and procedures regarding OH&S, and actively participate in the identification and resolution of any hazards and immediately report all incidents and injuries.

    • Appropriate tertiary qualification in a Business, data, digital or Marketing related business discipline.


  • Experience

    • Strong experience with Email Service Providers, and Marketing Automation Platforms (e.g. Salesforce Marketing Cloud, Adobe Campaign, Mailchimp).

    • Excellent digital project management experience, preferably with marketing automation platforms

    • Strong proficiency in A/B and multivariate testing (ideally in web personalisation).

    • Demonstrated experience with Conversion Rate Optimisation software is required (e.g. Hotjar, Crazy

      Egg, Optimizely).

    • Excellent understanding of email marketing deliverability requirements

    • Strong working knowledge of HTML and CSS required (experience in JavaScript is a plus)

    • Strong understanding of the current digital marketing and advertising landscape.

    • Excellent data analysis and reporting skills and experience.

    • Excellent collaboration and communication skills.

    • Demonstrated experience in a marketing automation or CRM administration role.
