Digital Performance Specialist

Working for Australia's leading petcare (retail and service) organisation, with a focus on investing in MarTech to drive business performance, you will play a key role in the development of digital campaigns utilising a range of platforms including, paid search, shopping, SEO, display, programmatic, video, paid social, affiliates, content marketing, and other channels.


Planning & Strategy

  • Active involvement on strategic development and delivery of growth plans with key advertising partners (i.e.: Facebook and Google) and external agencies (i.e. OMD, Adobe, Rakuten and Alpha)
  • Development of SEO improvement plans together with our agency and oversight of the execution of those plans
  • Execute digital growth strategies, ensuring activities and initiatives are effectively implemented
  • Focus on 3 key areas of growth: customers’ cross referral between retail and vets, vet talent acquisition campaigns, client acquisition for vets, specialists, and emergency clinics
  • Own the performance marketing activities for Private Label brands in the retail business

Agency Management

  • Work with agencies and provide input to deliver SEO, SEM, Display campaigns
  • Ensure accurate media and messaging scheduling across digital marketing activities

Campaign Execution

  • Execution of always-on Search, Social and Affiliate campaigns in collaboration with agencies
  • Guide agencies’ SEO work/briefs for Retail, including Meta Data review, schema mark-up, H1s, and all quick wins activities
  • Ongoing Audience segment creation and maintenance on Adobe Analytics & AAM
  • Build cross functional relationships and project coordinate campaigns
  • Support with cross functional team members

Measurement & Optimisation

  • Prepare reports for digital performance ensuring KPIs are met
  • Review digital performance and develop and execute strategies to improve the performance of organic and paid channels
  • Effectively keep abreast of innovations within the digital space and identify how these may be utilised for the business unit

Qualifications and Experience Required

  • 3+ years’ experience in SEM, SEO and paid social, ideally in an agency environment
  • Experience working in a data-driven, fast-paced environment, ideally within Retail
  • Advanced knowledge of Google Analytics and Data Studio
  • Adobe Analytics and Adobe Audience Manager knowledge are preferable
  • Interest in learning about user behaviour through both quantitative and qualitative data
  • Excellent stakeholder management to ensure expectations are being maintained
  • Organised and Methodical – you will be setting up and streamlining a set of processes with ambiguity in decision making
  • Excellent interpersonal communication
