The University has a complex digital ecosystem with many domains and sub-domains that a user may interact with in a single journey. This role will lead the discovery, analysis and evaluation of organisational site structures, content and navigation with the ultimate aim of improving to better enable users to discover what they are looking for.

Key to this will be analysing the relations between sites and pages and identifying the relevant user journeys. It is expected this will involve reviewing current IA’s, page hierarchy, internal linking and other structural elements to help identify areas of improvement. Referencing available data, or undertaking additional research where there are data gaps, insights will be provided on how different cohorts navigate the site and use these insights to identify prioritised opportunities, recommend updates and actions.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Undertake project discovery within agreed timeframes to develop clearly articulated problem statements, pain points and opportunities leading to a data led solution to be defined.
  • Proactively design and define a development and implementation plan for an optimised navigational experience at the University which delivers a sector leading experience for key audiences and is aligned with the University’s broader digital strategy to deliver value for both the business and its users.
  • Use appropriate User-Centered Design and Customer Journey mapping methodologies to inform discovery and solution design phases.
  • Use appropriate agile methodology and approaches to define your product roadmap with proposed tranches of work for future delivery.

Client Description

This is an opportunity for an experienced Digital Project Manager to play a key part in the Digital Uplift Program for a Globally renowned University. This is an initial 6 month contract where the first phase of the project will focus on discovery, with the view that this will evolve to a separate phase focused on delivery. Scope for a further 12 month contract.

Other Requirements

  • Demonstrated deep functional expertise in experience uplift project delivery, with a focus on navigational and information architecture improvement within a complex ecosystem.
  • Expert knowledge of best practice in developing digital experiences and solutions and delivery within an Agile environment.
  • Proven ability to build, establish and maintain relationships and manage multiple stakeholders
  • within an Agile environment.
  • Expert knowledge of Human Centred Design, customer journey mapping and User Experience design principles and methodologies.
