Join a close-knit dynamic marketing team at one of Australia’s most innovative universities.
Reporting to the Director of Brand and Content, this strategic role is responsible for
the development, implementation, reporting, and optimisation of owned channel
content to support and strengthen the university’s brand and reputation, driving student engagement and enrolment.
Key responsibilities:
- Support the Associate Director Brand & Content in the planning and delivery of content strategies that appeal to our target audience
- Develop, implement and evaluate a broad range of externally facing content, aimed at building brand and reputation and promoting the university to prospective students in a compelling and engaging way
- Provide expert and strategic communication guidance, training, advice and timely stakeholder relationship management to support the team’s work in line with the university’s strategic objectives
- Plan, identify, source, and produce content across owned channels, including the web, owned social media channels, eDMs and other channels, for a wide range of audiences and purposes
- Coordinate the production of and write content for key publications, collaborating with colleagues across the university
- Producing content that aligns with marketing and wider university strategic plans and ensure it is delivered on time, on budget and to a high standard.
- Lead operational and project-based work that supports and drives student recruitment
- Manage and organise photographic and video shoots, including script writing, ensuring that assets are on brand and appeal to our target audience
- Develop and implement effective reporting and using data and analytics to inform decision making for the team
Skills and experience require:
- Expert skills in content writing and content marketing, with experience in executing strategic communication activities across multiple channels (print, web, email, blog, video) for diverse audiences.
- A solid understanding of the role of digital content in crafting outstanding user experiences and increasing brand awareness
- Strong interpersonal, organisational and time management skills
- Exceptional copywriting skills and attention to detail
- An ability to assess complex situations and collaboratively work out best solution
- Proven experience collaborating within teams to produce integrated marketing content across print digital, and multi-channel platforms.
- Ability to manage budgets, track content performance, and provide detailed reports to team and stakeholders.
- Strong knowledge of SEO best practices for creative copywriting and effective keyword placement
- Degree qualifications in marketing, advertising, communications, writing or similar is desirable
- Experience working with a challenger brand is highly desirable
