Email Marketing Specialist

Looking for a skilled email marketer with a background in traditional direct marketing. You will be responsible for 15-20 campaigns a month for this client. This is a position that is open ended and for the right candidate could last as long as 2 years or even go full time!

Develop and deliver best in class integrated marketing programs

Plan, develop, and execute direct marketing campaigns via email, direct mail, and the web in an efficient and effective manner which generates a positive ROI and enhances member loyalty.

· Collaborate with redemption air and non air business owners to deliver yearly marketing plans.

· Serve as project manager for all promotions and communications, managing the overall communications strategy, creative development process, production schedules, approval processes, and budgets.

· Manage internal and external creative and production support teams to ensure high-quality, on-time delivery within budgets. Communicate the status of programs on an on-going basis to stakeholders.

· Develop the overall communications strategy (audience, message) for programs and promotions and coordinate with other communications stakeholders such as PR, Marcom, and Operations to ensure communications are integrated and consistent across channels.

· Collaborate with the MP and Ecommerce teams (MP Partner Marketing, operations, customer contact centers, Ecommerce, Marketing), as appropriate, to deliver programs, promotions, and communications

· Ensure campaigns are effectively targeted in order to deliver highly relevant offers to customer groups and to appropriately manage audience overlap from various promotions. Select appropriate MP, and Partner communication channels for the program objective, leveraging marketing best practices to optimize ROI and customer loyalty

· Drive in-market tests with defined test and control cells to continually learn and improve ROI results. Incorporate learnings into future plans. Leverage partner knowledge and learnings to develop programs. Leverage direct marketing best practices, loyalty industry best practices, and Mileage Plus learnings. Share test results with team members.

· Ensure all member communications are consistent with MP brand and communication guidelines as well as UA and MP’s overall corporate strategy. Ensure communications meet Partner communication and brand guidelines, as appropriate. Communicate program status and results to key internal and external stakeholders, as appropriate

· Coordinate with Mileage Plus Analytics to conduct and deliver standard post-promotion analysis on promotion effectiveness including ROI analysis (on a segment and total audience basis), test vs. control, and results vs. prior programs. Investigate idiosyncrasies uncovered by analysis

Proactively manage the programs delivered by the Redemption Marketing team to ensure that program needs and expectations are met

· Develop and maintain 12 month integrated marketing calendar to support redemption communications.

· Apply a proactive approach to program content and provide alternatives to reactive program needs

· Work closely with Analytics team to fully understand all opportunities that the member data base can provide.

Proactively manage all Redemption member communications to meet program needs and expectations

Define day to day processes for Redemption communications. Work closely with Redemption communication supporting departments such as IT, loyalty operations, customer service, and e-commerce.
Continuously drive for improved technology and efficiency.
Responsible for ensuring delivery of campaigns on time, on budget, with high quality and low errors.
Work closely with outside agencies to ensure Redemption communication objectives are shared and supported

5+ years in an agency facing environment with managing multiple clients.

Strong database-driven direct marketing expertise, strategic and analytic skills, project management skills as well as oral and written communications. Experience in managing internal customers.

Experience which is required to execute this job (e.g., 2-4 years of experience as an accountant)

At least 5+ years in database driven marketing through direct mail, email and on the web. CRM or general agency experience
