Product Marketing Manager - Possibly Remote!

Awesome Opportunity for a Product/Marketing Manager for online education materials with well known and industry leader.

This position can be based out of Monterey, CA OR Chicago, IL or could also be remote for the right candidate.
This position can also be flexible from 30-40 hours per week.

JOB INFO:


The Product Marketing Manager will take a central role in our marketing programs strategy and execution for key product launches and ongoing product marketing. Working closely with marketing services, this position will envision, develop and execute marketing programs that support customer acquisition and market awareness. The Product Marketing Manager will implement the outbound marketing mix, optimizing which channels and techniques are used to get the message out. Responsible for collaborating with cross-functional teams, including marketing services team, product management, PR, sales, and web team to ensure integrated marketing campaigns are well executed and deliver results.

Essential Accountability Percent of Time

• Strategic Planning & Execution: Develop and execute strategic marketing plan – pre- and post-launch. Develop and execute annual marketing plans. 40%
• Marketing Campaign Management: Envision, develop, and execute marketing campaigns and materials that support lead generation, market penetration, and market awareness. Monitor, analyze, optimize and manage performance of campaigns, establishing goals for each campaign and ensuring optimum performance for all marketing activities. 30%
• Project Management: Lead all aspects of marketing communications including concept creation, creative development, copywriting, multi-departmental review cycles, and distribution and publication. 10%
• Asset Management: Create and maintain important marketing channels including the website, press, social media, event/trade show collateral, and corporate and sales presentations. 10%

• Collaboration: Collaborate with marketing services and external team members in tracking the performance of press releases, social media, direct marketing and online advertising campaigns. Work with internal and external team members to ensure deliverables meet program objectives. Serve as a liaison to marketing, sales, product management, professional development, implementation management, and customer service, anticipating needs and leveraging successes. 10%



3. OTHER REQUIRED ACCOUNTABILITIES: Describe any additional accountabilities not included under the essential accountabilities section, which are part of the job.

• Work with product managers and business analyst to align/re-align positioning with:
o Market Opportunity
o Business Objectives
o Product roadmap
o Competitive environment
• Ensure high quality, error-free materials are produced in a timely and cost-effective way. Establish the key product and brand messaging and ensure the adherence to establish brand and style guidelines in all materials.
• Work with sales to understand customer needs and build effective tools and materials to move prospects forward.
• Manage selection and execution of contracts with external creative agencies or contractors
• Participate in National Trade Shows, National Sales Meetings, customer presentations, and sales training.
• Must be able to travel as required.
