Lead Financial Analyst

Working as a Finance Business Partner alongside a large team comprising finance, accounting, supply chain, corporate strategy & development and tax professionals, you will be responsible for supporting forecasting, planning and analysis activities for the business across Australia and Emerging markets, as well as taking a lead role in managing all OpEx and headcount related activity.

 

Responsibilities:

 

  • Drive planning and forecasting activities within the APAC businesses, while interfacing closely with business partners and FP&A team across the globe
  • Work closely with sales & marketing teams across APAC to lead all Expense management and Headcount planning and forecasting
  • Building and maintaining key financial models from scratch – Including but not limited to Lifetime value, pricing models and strategic partnership deals.
  • Update key management reports especially business KPIs to ensure data accuracy
  • Create and deliver presentations for various financial and business reviews
  • Drive process improvement and lay the foundation for scalable processes that will scale with APAC’s growth
  • Proactively identifies important opportunities and drives change/decisions through org savvy and relationship building
  • Establish operating mechanisms and reporting that ensure local and Corporate management team understand business position against operating and financial objectives

 

Essential skills and experience:

 

  • Bachelor’s degree in business, finance or accounting; or equivalent work experience
  • Minimum of 5 years of work experience in Finance, Tech, Banking/Consulting or Public Accounting
  • Advanced Excel and PowerPoint skills – Including exposure to pivot tables, macros, data tables, Hyperion Essbase, OLAP functionality, etc.
  • Strong experience in building business cases from scratch managing multiple versions and with solid assumptions framework
  • Experience with large financial systems such as Oracle, BO, Hyperion, etc.
  • Understanding of accounting principles and a strong working knowledge of corporate finance theory
  • Experience working with sales and marketing teams, managing customer metrics, revenue, opex and headcount in a corporate matrixed environment
  • Strong capabilities also when presenting to Senior Management and delivers in a way that also teaches same capabilities to other team members
  • Exceptional written and verbal communications skills
  • Excellent attention to detail
