Client Description

Public Relations & Communications Manager

Are you a natural storyteller with a passion for connecting people and communities through impactful communications? As PR & Communications Manager, you will lead the development, execution, and evaluation of their internal and external communications strategy. You’ll be the guardian of their voice and tone—shaping messaging that builds brand equity, deepens internal connection, and inspires external audiences.

Reporting to the National Marketing Manager and working closely with People & Culture and the Office of the CEO, your work will help bring their Enterprising Heart to life—amplifying stories of courage, impact, and inclusion from across the organisation.

This role is perfect for a confident, proactive communicator who can seamlessly shift between high-level strategy and hands-on content creation. You’ll engage directly with teams across Australia to uncover authentic, human-centred stories that reflect the positive change the organisation delivers every day.

What You’ll Be Doing:

  • Managing media relations, PR campaigns, and thought leadership opportunities
  • Writing compelling, human-centred content that tells the story of our impact
  • Leading a cohesive internal communications strategy to engage and align teams
  • Partnering with stakeholders across the business to support culture, engagement, and brand building
  • Supporting internal events, executive messaging, media requests, and crisis comms
  • Measuring and evaluating communication effectiveness to drive continuous improvement

Other Requirements

  • Degree in Marketing, Communications, Media or similar
  • 4+ years in PR, Journalism, Communications (agency or in-house)
  • Strong writing, editorial planning and stakeholder engagement skills
  • Confidence working with media, internal stakeholders, and executive leaders
  • Demonstrated Crisis / Issues Management experience
  • A strategic mindset paired with hands-on delivery skills
  • Experience with digital comms, media monitoring tools, and internal platforms
  • Passion for purpose-led work and a collaborative team spirit
