This role will be 50% Management and 50% on tools.

The Opportunity

As the Design Team Lead, you’ll be the central point of contact for the design team providing support, guidance, and mentorship to ensure their success. You’ll partner with the Head of Creative Services to foster a culture of creative excellence, while also producing high-quality design assets yourself.

This is a dynamic role where you’ll balance hands-on design work with people leadership. You’ll be responsible for the day-to-day administration and development of a team of six, ensuring they have the skills and support they need to thrive.

What You’ll Do

• Lead and mentor a team of six designers, acting as their go-to for all support and administrative needs.
• Produce a high volume of best-in-class design assets for various marketing channels, ensuring all work meets deadlines and specifications.
• Collaborate with team members to set and track development goals and provide effective coaching to help them grow.
• Work with other Creative Services team leads to promote collaboration and share skills across the department.
• Maintain an understanding of the team’s capacity and capabilities to ensure resources are aligned with business needs.
• Support the team in continuously developing their skills and staying on top of creative trends.

What You’ll Bring

• Experience: At least 5+ years of graphic art or design experience within a studio, creative agency, or similar environment.
• Leadership Skills: Proven experience in leading and mentoring a creative team. You’re a natural leader who can motivate and develop others.
• Problem-Solving: The ability to stay calm under pressure, adapt to shifting priorities, and identify opportunities to improve processes.
• Communication: Exceptional communication and interpersonal skills.
• Organisational Skills: Excellent organisational and multitasking abilities to manage both people leadership and hands-on design work.
