Overview

Digital Accessibility Specialist ( Design ) to join our team on a 6-month rolling contract

You’ll be a champion for accessibility, ensuring all our products and services are inclusive and usable by everyone, regardless of ability.

📍Location: Sydney | Warrane or Remote

About You:

• Experience as UX/UI Designer with a strong focus on accessibility.
• You possess in-depth knowledge of WCAG (Web Content Accessibility Guidelines) 2.1 and best practices for accessible design across web, mobile, and desktop platforms.
• You have a proven track record of implementing accessibility solutions into the design process effectively.
• You’re a clear and concise communicator with excellent stakeholder management skills. You can confidently advocate for accessibility with technical and non-technical audiences.
• You’re a team player who thrives in a collaborative environment.
• You have a strong portfolio showcasing your design skills and commitment to accessibility.

Bonus Points:

• Experience with assistive technologies (screen readers, voice control, etc.)
• Knowledge of user research methodologies focused on accessibility testing.
• Experience working in an Agile development environment.

What You’ll Do:

• Partner with designers, developers, and product managers to integrate accessibility best practices throughout the design and development lifecycle.
• Conduct accessibility audits and identify potential barriers to user experience.
• Develop and implement innovative solutions to ensure our products are accessible to all users.
• Create and maintain accessibility documentation and standards.
• Stay up-to-date on the latest accessibility trends and technologies.
• Raise awareness of accessibility within the organization through workshops and training sessions.
