An exciting opportunity for an experienced CMS Developer to join a leading institution in the education sector. You’ll play a key role in enhancing digital experiences, ensuring a seamless user journey, and supporting broader digital strategies.

The role
As a CMS Developer, you will be responsible for improving and maintaining the organisation’s Squiz Matrix CMS, ensuring a user-friendly and scalable digital experience. You’ll collaborate with UX, design, and product teams to develop solutions that align with brand standards and digital strategy.
Key responsibilities include:
- Leading the implementation of CMS functionality within a controlled environment.
- Enhancing user and asset management standards for better performance and efficiency.
- Supporting a large-scale web presence with over 500 sites and thousands of active editors.
- Collaborating with stakeholders to provide expert guidance on CMS best practices.
- Staying ahead of emerging web technologies to improve the digital experience.
- Ensuring adherence to WCAG Digital Accessibility Standards.
Requirements
- Proven experience working with Squiz Matrix CMS, including template creation and customisation (ideally experience with Squiz Matrix 6.
- Strong HTML, CSS, and JavaScript skills, with knowledge of responsive design principles.
- Experience developing intuitive, user-friendly interfaces for content editors.
- Problem-solving and analytical skills to troubleshoot technical issues.
- Strong communication skills to work effectively with stakeholders.
- The ability to thrive in an agile, collaborative environment.
- Familiarity with web analytics tools and an understanding of digital accessibility standards (WCAG).
- (Desirable) Experience working in higher education or large-scale organisations.
