TBC

Start Date:

12 May, 2025

Location: Remote (Melbourne-based preferred, but open to anywhere in Australia)

We’re looking for a freelance Front-End Developer with SharePoint experience to help build a new intranet site for a major internal project within a well-known education provider. This will be a hands-on role, working closely with the project consultant (ex-Marketing Manager and creative lead) to bring the vision to life.

You’ll be responsible for:

  • Building an intranet site using Microsoft SharePoint within an Office 365 environment (single sign-on access).

  • Developing custom front-end components such as tables, Gantt charts, project timelines, and a media centre/blog for ongoing video and photo content updates.

  • Ensuring the site is built in a way that makes it easy for internal teams to update content themselves.

  • Collaborating with internal IT teams to access back-end systems – no need to manage security or hosting yourself.

  • Providing occasional ongoing support for site updates or feature tweaks after the initial build.

We’re looking for someone who:

  • Has strong front-end development skills (HTML, CSS, JavaScript) and experience customising SharePoint Online.

  • Has previous experience building intranets, project dashboards, or CMS-style sites within SharePoint.

  • Is familiar with SharePoint’s quirks and happy to work with existing IT infrastructure.

  • Communicates clearly, is easy to collaborate with, and can work independently when needed.

  • Is available to start within the next 2–3 weeks.

Bonus points if you have:

  • Experience building interactive Gantt charts or complex data tables.

  • An eye for design to help faithfully translate static designs into functional pages.
