Day Rate: $725+Super/day

Duration: 6 month initial contract (rolling)

We’re partnering with a major organisation going through a large-scale digitisation project focused on transforming manual and paper-based processes within their national retail network.

This role will see you working closely with a process analyst, engineers, and stakeholders to reimagine how everyday workflows can be streamlined, digitised, or even made invisible.

What you’ll be doing:

  • Shadowing in-store teams to observe and understand current processes (e.g. rostering, timesheets, store operations).
  • Mapping and optimising workflows that are currently manual or paper-based.
  • Translating those flows into wireframes, prototypes, and digital touchpoints using Figma (and potentially Power Apps tooling).
  • Designing simple, user-friendly solutions that align with the limitations and flexibility of Microsoft Power Apps.
  • Collaborating with engineering and process teams to ensure ideas are feasible and scalable.
  • Contributing to the overall goal: removing friction, improving efficiency, and delivering a more intuitive user experience for internal teams.

What we’re looking for:

  • A Senior UX/Product Designer who thrives in practical, hands-on problem-solving environments.
  • Experience designing internal tools, process automation interfaces, or light-weight apps — ideally using low-code/no-code platforms like Power Apps.
  • Comfortable conducting ethnographic-style research — observing and asking questions to deeply understand day-to-day tasks and pain points.
  • Someone who can prototype quickly, simplify complexity, and align closely with process owners and developers.
  • Exposure to enterprise or operations environments is a bonus, especially where digital transformation is underway.

Why this role?

This is a great opportunity to work on real-world problems that affect thousands of employees — helping bring everyday tools into the digital age. You’ll be part of a supportive team and work on a contract with strong potential for extension.
