  • Work under the guidance of the Insights and Research Manager to develop and deliver data-driven insights for both industry and government stakeholders.
  • Conduct industry research using desktop methods, literature reviews, data analysis, and both quantitative and qualitative research.
  • Collaborate with the Research team to make the most of existing and new data sets to uncover audience and content trends.
  • Support strategic decision-making by contributing to sector policies, programs, and incentives.
  • Partner with colleagues across the Strategic Policy and Insights Unit to maintain and analyse relevant datasets.
  • Assist the Insights and Research Manager and clearly communicate complex research findings to a broad audience.

Client Description

  • We have an initial 6-month contract for a Media Research Analyst 
  • Hybrid: 3 days in the office / 2 Days WFH
  • Daily Rate: $520+ super

Our client is a Federal Government agency dedicated to supporting the development, production, promotion and distribution of Australian narrative (drama) and documentary screen content. The agency invests directly in Australian film, television, online titles, and games, while also administering the Producer Offset tax incentive for Australian screen stories.

They are currently seeking a Media Research Analyst to join their Strategic Insights & Research team. This is a unique opportunity to play a pivotal role in shaping industry understanding through high-impact research and analysis

Other Requirements

  • Minimum of 5 years’ experience in consumer and media research, ideally to support policy and strategy.
  • Proven ability to analyse and present complex research findings to stakeholders through clear reports or presentations.
  • Proficiency in media and cross-platform software tools such as Ipsos IRIS and Ampere Analytics.
  • Strong organisational skills with the ability to manage multiple priorities and work independently.
  • Excellent communication skills—both written and verbal—with a knack for stakeholder management.
