Job Opportunity: Digital Traffic Manager (12-Month Contract)
Are you an operational powerhouse who thrives on bringing order to creative chaos? We are seeking a Digital Traffic Manager to act as the “operational heartbeat” of a newly formed team for one of Australia’s leading telecommunications providers.
This is a 12-month day-rate contract offering exceptional flexibility and the chance to build a delivery function from the ground up.
The Role
As the Digital Traffic Manager, you won’t be creating content—you’ll be enabling it. You will manage the end-to-end flow of work, from initial intake to final deployment, across a high-volume multi-channel environment.
Your primary mission is to transition the team into a new centralized structure and lead the migration from Jira to Adobe Workfront.
Key Responsibilities
- Workflow Orchestration: Own the intake, triage, and prioritization of all digital content requests.
- Capacity Planning: Assess team bandwidth (designers, writers, UX) and allocate work based on strategic business value and urgency.
- Process Leadership: Establish the “rhythm of business,” including daily stand-ups and prioritization cadences, in a newly formed team.
- Stakeholder Management: Negotiate trade-offs and resolve bottlenecks between Product Owners, Campaign Specialists, and the Content Group.
- Automation & Improvement: Drive efficiency by identifying opportunities for automation using Workfront Fusion.
What We’re Looking For
- Experience: Proven background in traffic or workflow management within an Enterprise or large-scale agency environment.
- Tool Fluency: Strong proficiency in Adobe Workfront (required) and an understanding of Jira to assist with the transition.
- Change Mindset: Since this is a newly formed role, you must be comfortable “setting the rules,” creating templates, and defining governance where it doesn’t yet exist.
- Collaborative Influencer: The ability to influence without direct authority and manage complex stakeholder expectations.
- Compliance Savvy: A solid understanding of the importance of accessibility (WCAG) and legal quality gates (you coordinate the hand-offs; you don’t need to be the expert).
Why Apply?
- Rate: Competitive daily rate ($700-$900 per day AUD dependent on experience).
- Location: Based in Melbourne or Sydney with significant remote-work flexibility.
- Impact: You are the architect of a new way of working for a major Australian brand.
