Are you passionate about creating a digital world that leaves no one behind? We are looking for a Digital Accessibility Specialists to join one of Australia’s largest and most established accessibility teams.
This is a fantastic opportunity to work on high-impact projects across a diverse range of digital assets, ensuring that every user regardless of ability enjoys a seamless experience.
The Role at a Glance
- Location: 100% Remote (Must be based in Australia)
- Contract: 6–12 months (Rolling contract with long-term potential)
- Team: Large, collaborative, and specialist-led environment
What You’ll Be Doing
As a subject matter expert, you will be responsible for end-to-end accessibility quality assurance. Your day-to-day will involve:
- Comprehensive Testing: Auditing documents, websites, and applications to ensure compliance with WCAG standards.
- Technical Reporting: Identifying defects and translating them into clear, actionable reports for vendors and internal development teams.
- Remediation Support: Partnering with developers to provide guidance on “uplifting” defects and implementing accessible fixes.
- Advocacy: Applying your knowledge of inclusive design to influence content and interaction principles.
Your Expertise
We are looking for someone who can “hit the ground running” with the following technical toolkit:
- WCAG Mastery: Deep understanding of WCAG 2.1/2.2 guidelines and the ability to apply them in real-world scenarios.
- Testing Proficiency: Proven experience running manual and automated tests across various platforms.
- Technical Literacy: Basic knowledge of HTML, CSS, and JavaScript. Experience with common front-end frameworks is highly regarded.
- Design Lens: A solid grasp of interaction and content design principles.
- Communication: The ability to explain complex accessibility issues to non-technical stakeholders and developers alike.
