The Opportunity
Aquent has partnered with a fast-growing digital agency that bridges raw strategy with world-class design. They don’t just build websites; they craft high-performance digital products, intricate design systems, and unforgettable brand experiences for a diverse portfolio of clients.
If you are a practical visionary—someone who loves the messy, creative spark of early concepts but gets genuinely excited about pixel-perfect developer handoffs—this is your playground. You will have a massive say in the design direction, collaborate closely with clients, and see your work come to life in real-time.
What You’ll Do
- Craft Beautiful Experiences: Design intuitive, visually stunning user interfaces for complex websites and digital products.
- Own the Systems: Build, scale, and meticulously maintain comprehensive design systems in Figma.
- Bridge Design & Dev: Produce pristine, pixel-perfect layouts and components that make developers smile during handoff.
- Lead the Narrative: Guide projects from a blank canvas to final execution, translating complex briefs into clean, actionable solutions.
- Client Collaboration: Present directly to clients, rapidly iterate based on feedback, and help shape the overall strategic design direction.
- Wear a Few Hats: Manage multiple live projects efficiently, occasionally flexing your skills into brand collateral when the team needs it.
What You Bring (Must-Haves)
- Agency Grit: Proven experience thriving in a fast-paced, multi-project agency environment. You know how to manage your time and context-switch without breaking a sweat.
- Figma Black Belt: You live in Figma. You’ve mastered wireframing, rapid prototyping, and advanced component/token logic for design systems.
- Practical Vision: A portfolio that proves you possess both high-level creative flair and the technical discipline to deliver build-ready designs.
- Strong Voice: Exceptional communication skills. You don’t just push pixels; you can articulate why your design works to both stakeholders and engineering teams.
- Dev Literacy: A solid understanding of responsive web design best practices and how code interprets your designs.
Bonus Points (Nice-to-Haves)
- Background or casual experience in traditional branding or physical print collateral design. #LI-RM1
