If you’ve ever wished you could shape a product from the ground up, with the freedom to define how it looks, feels, and moves then this is that role.

We’re working with a VC-backed team building a brand-new app, and they’re searching for a Lead Visual Designer (UI) who brings world-class craft and elevated thinking to everything they touch.

You’ll be joining a specialist team working on a thoughtfully designed product aimed at simplifying everyday complexity through a seamless, beautifully crafted digital experience. 

Currently in build phase, this project needs top-tier design talent to help shape its very first release. You’ll work alongside a Senior UX Designer and lead the visual execution from concept to handoff, taking an early-stage brand and building out its digital expression across typography, layout, componentry, interaction and motion. 

This is one of those rare roles where you’ll own the design craft from the start, defining how the product looks, feels, and behaves.

What you’ll be doing

• Own the visual design of the app – from screens to states to motion
• Interpret and extend a brand identity into a robust, scalable digital system
• Define typography, colour, layout and design language for iOS and Android
• Create a visual system that feels beautiful, intelligent and high-end
• Work closely with UX, engineering and product to bring the MVP to life
• Help craft the experience – not just the interface

Who we’re looking for

• A senior-level Visual Designer with an exceptional eye for UI and interaction
• Experience designing native apps (iOS/Android) and scalable design systems
• Strong visual storytelling instincts — this is a product that needs to feel premium
• Someone who knows what great looks like and pushes for it every time
• Comfortable in a fast-moving, high-trust environment where you’ll be relied on for direction and detail

Nice to have

• Experience working in early-stage product teams or start-ups
• Motion design, micro-interaction or prototyping skills
• Background in fintech, lifestyle, wellness, or other premium/luxury digital products

• Salary up to $175k incl. super

While the client is open to a remote candidate for this role you must live in Australia and have full Australian working rights to be considered for this role.
