About the Role

We’re looking for a talented Lead Graphic Designer to help shape the visual narrative of a leading global organisation. With a keen eye for detail and a deep understanding of design principles, you’ll lead the creation of artwork across a wide array of channels — ensuring every piece aligns seamlessly with brand guidelines, nurtures our creative identity, and complements the pace and ambition of the business.

Key Responsibilities

Design Concepting

  • Develop design concepts for Consumer Marketing, Business Events, Trade Events, Corporate Affairs, Corporate Services, and international regional teams (15+ markets)
  • Provide creative thought leadership to ensure brand consistency across all assets

Asset Creation and Production

  • Demonstrate advanced graphic design industry standards across an extensive range of mediums for print, digital and video formats
  • Deliver project assets with a high level of attention to detail, leveraging advanced skills in Adobe Creative Suite (Premiere Pro, InDesign, Photoshop, Illustrator and After Effects)

Collaboration and Coordination

  • Collaborate with a global team operating across various markets and languages
  • Coordinate with external production agencies to increase design output and ensure high-quality, brand-aligned assets

Resourcing and Industry Trends

  • Source and onboard freelance resources through agency partners, overseeing their integration into projects
  • Stay updated on industry trends, best practices, and emerging technologies to keep creative output at the forefront of innovation

What You’ll Bring

Knowledge & Experience

  • Tertiary qualifications in graphic design or a related field
  • Minimum five years’ professional graphic design experience in an in-house studio, agency, or production environment
  • Proven track record of successful design projects
  • Experience developing and maintaining brand identities
  • Experience with budget management, strategic planning and reporting

Skills

  • Proficiency in Adobe Creative Suite (Photoshop, Illustrator, InDesign, Premiere Pro, After Effects)
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite (PowerPoint, Word, Excel)
  • Advanced knowledge of design principles (typography, colour theory, layout)
  • Experience across both print and digital design
  • Familiarity with UI/UX design principles
  • Video editing and animation skills
  • Experience mentoring junior designers and working with external freelance support
  • Moderate project management skills
  • Strong conceptual thinking and innovative design skills
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills
  • Strong collaboration skills with cross-functional teams and external partners
  • Effective time management and prioritisation

What We’re Looking For in You

  • Ability to adapt flexibly to changing priorities in support of broader organisational objectives
  • A team player who thrives in a high-performance, multi-disciplinary environment
  • Sound judgement and emotional intelligence when working through differing views
  • A collaborative, trust-based approach to team culture

Responsibilities Also Include

  • Managing freelance direct reports: sourcing, onboarding, delegating tasks, and supporting workflow
  • Managing budgets and financial delegations
  • Following legal, statutory, and corporate governance policies and procedures
  • Contributing to an inclusive workplace culture, including support for diversity and belonging

This is a really special role in an incredible down-to-earth and hardworking team. If you’re a great designer with the ability to bring thought and agenda to a team, please apply now and ensure you have included a link to your Portfolio within your application.
