Join a leading university at the forefront of education and research, dedicated to shaping future leaders and driving impactful discoveries. This institution fosters a dynamic environment where innovation thrives, and every contribution helps advance knowledge and student success. You’ll be stepping into a pivotal role within their Digital Experience and Marketing team, where your expertise will directly influence student recruitment and the university’s reputation. This is an exciting opportunity to leverage your marketing prowess to make a tangible difference in a vibrant academic setting.
We are seeking an experienced Marketing Specialist to join a dedicated team, providing parental leave cover for a specific faculty portfolio. This is a 6-month fixed-term contract, perfect for a marketer with strong integrated campaign experience who excels at managing paid media end-to-end and nurturing stakeholder relationships.
You will take ownership of significant campaign delivery and channel management functions, focusing on paid campaign briefing, execution, and reporting, primarily in support of postgraduate student recruitment. While student acquisition is a core focus, you’ll also contribute to broader initiatives like reputation building, research promotion, and community engagement.
Reporting to the Marketing Manager, you’ll collaborate closely with a Content Coordinator, Communications and Marketing colleagues, faculty stakeholders, and teams across the broader marketing function. If you’re a marketer who can hit the ground running with minimal onboarding, and who enjoys managing agencies, budgets, and stakeholders as much as the campaigns themselves, we encourage you to apply.
What You’ll Do
- Deliver integrated student acquisition campaigns across SEM, email nurture, paid social, and programmatic channels, supporting faculty load targets.
- Manage end-to-end campaign delivery, including briefing, agency coordination, stakeholder communications, performance tracking, and reporting.
- Maintain and progress the active campaign pipeline, encompassing both in-market campaigns and those in planning for the upcoming year.
- Manage agency and supplier relationships in line with Communications and Marketing ways of working and brand standards.
- Apply data and insights to inform campaign optimization and contribute to quarterly reporting.
- Support content development across owned and paid channels in collaboration with the Content Coordinator.
- Maintain project visibility via Monday.com.
- Engage proactively with faculty stakeholders, Digital Experience and Marketing teams, and Communications and Marketing colleagues to ensure continuity of committed marketing activity.
- Follow Communications and Marketing and Digital Experience and Marketing approval and compliance processes, including Campaign Review and budget management.
What We’re Looking For
- 5+ years’ experience in integrated marketing communications, content development, and execution, including digital media platforms.
- Familiarity with the higher education sector, particularly postgraduate student acquisition (domestic and international).
- Demonstrated delivery of marketing communications within a large, complex organization and matrixed stakeholder environment.
- Experience managing paid media channels including SEM, email nurture, paid social, and programmatic, including agency briefing and supplier coordination.
- Proven ability to build relationships with multiple stakeholders, including academic and professional staff.
- Strong written and verbal communication skills with a track record of exceptional client service.
- Reporting and budget management experience.
- Ability to contribute immediately with minimal onboarding, given the fixed-term nature of the placement.
Preferred Skills
- Proficiency in Monday.com.
